Swissport strike

This morning, a spontaneous strike broke out at baggage handler Swissport. Swissport normally provides the handling services for the flights of Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium.

Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium apologizes for the possible impact this could have on its visitors. However, this is a case of force majeure and the company is going the extra mile to minimize the inconvenience for the customers.

This morning, all flights left according to schedule and were loaded by Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium employees.

This afternoon, Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium has three flights scheduled. Since the company no insight on how the situation at the airport might evolve, a backup plan is rolled out. The company’s own staff will be loading and unloading the aircrafts.

In the meanwhile, Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium asks his passengers to travel as light as possible.
